Complete busbar trunking is a system of conductors in a protective sheath, divided into insulated aluminum or copper busbars. The installed device performs the functions of distribution and transmission of electricity and serves as an alternative to cables.

Busbar trunking applications

The main purpose of the busducts is to connect transformers to switchgears, to distribute power between consumers and to power individual switchboards. Typically, the busbar trunking is installed in facilities with a large number of pantographs – in residential buildings, industrial and commercial enterprises, in public institutions.

The Benefits of Busbar Trunking

Although the design and manufacture of busbars is more expensive than cabling, taking into account the costs of installing and maintaining power supply systems, the installation of busbars is economically justified. The bus system is easier to modify and optimize upon request; the design flexibility of the device provides a number of advantages:

Trunk busways

Trunk busways are used for the installation of shop lines, which are powered from transformer substations. Trunk busways are designed for a current of 800-5000A, in other words they are used for connection of distribution busways, power distribution points, switchboards and separate powerful electrical receivers.

Distribution busways

Distribution busways are used to connect various devices and lighting busways and are available for rated currents of 16-800A.

Lighting busways

Lighting busways are used for connection of lamps and other low-power devices. Range of currents of lighting busways 16-63A.

Trolley busways

Trolley busways are used to supply all types of equipment, including cranes, hoists, tools, automated warehouse systems and many other devices.

The AVR PLUS company offers Canalis lighting busbars from Schneider Electric. Optimum performance of the entire system is ensured by coordination between automatic protective devices and busbars used for decentralized power distribution.
